My 2000 M6 Z28 hit 250,000 miles today !
First off a shout out to member Mike454SS he is the guy that owned the car before me and did all the upgrades and mods other than wheels & tires.
I love buying high miles cars that were owned by very particular people , I still to this day have people comment how nice it is and it cant have many miles etc.. Its my favorite of my 4th gens , I believe he said he started adding mods soon after buying it with 80 odd thousand miles so its been a bolt on car for the last 170,000 miles or so , shows no signs of giving up the ghost and the engine , M6 , and 10 bolt are all original and have never been opened up ! I have never tracked it but did witness Mike run a couple passes in the 11.9's about 6 months before I ended up with the car. It shift blocks at high rpm (LS7 clutch) but other than that can take a licking and keep on ticking.
I took a couple quick pics before I left work tonight as it would be dark by the time I got home , and it rolled over to the magic 1/4 mill about 10 miles from home , next stop 300k lol

That's great! Congratulations! You have what I like to call "mechanical sympathy" just goes to show what these cars are capable of when they aren't neglected and/or abused.

I have owned many other gm vehicles that made it this far or further as well but I was joking every day lately about if it was going to make it. I drove a bolt on fwd 02 regal GS for years that ran 13.1's for me , sold it to a buddy a few years ago (PWNED on here) and it also looked like it was going to make 250k and snapped the input shaft 666 miles short of a 1/4 mil.
Right now have an 01 2500 hd 6.0 with 193k , a park avenue that my wife drives with 232k and a couple other 4th gens with around 153k and 174k. Highest I ever had was an 85 gmc with 345k when I sold it to a buddy to use at his oval track race track as the speedy dry truck , him and friends took turns doing smoky burnouts when the track was closed - never broke.

Congrats! I've been DDing my 00 Formula for 13 years and at 144k it seems ancient. Can't imagine it going another 100k. Other high mileage GM's in the family stable have been my son's 200k 97 Firebird (only died because a radiator cap was left off), my other son's 160k 00 FB, our 179k 99 Montana (lots of repairs to keep that one alive) and a couple of others that are clocking around 110k.

My daily driver is at 175,xxx still running the original 4L60e and 2.73 rear end. The original owner didn't drive it hard but he didn't bother to open the hood and check the fluids with any regularity either. I wouldn't put a mileage limit on these cars though, as long as they get at least the bare minimum of maintenance.

funny thing with mine in the 5 years I have owned it outside of fluids and filters and adding the c5 wheel/tire package all I have done is a fuel pump , 2 window motors and front pads/rotors that is it , I think Mike must have gotten all the stuff that fails out of the way before I got the car.
