mods.
I really have a vision for one of the stoutest LS1s on the street the car break break snacks driving through town everybody loves it all the little kids loved it I even have a guys in 2016 Corvettes pulling up next to me telling me I have a nice car it's just a head turner what I want to do is pay it respect and give it the grunts that it really deserves other than the bolt ons that I had listed it's got all the free mods as well but I want to step it up the first purchase I made was a Ed Curtis street sweeper HT cam Kit I have an oil pump timing chain and gears for the rear end even though I think that things going to break like glass once I reach my horsepower goals. I'm not far off from purchasing either a quality set of heads or a full intake throttle body combo but I would really like some opinions on going 383 Stroker with it I've read some threads where it says it doesn't give you much more horsepower but the torque curve across the powerband is well above the head cam intake LS1 and that's what I'm really about i like a real Torque car that even my wife can drive around but still puts a grin on your face. I would just like a few opinions from you guys that have built LS1 engines and have some experience with Stroke versus. Head cam intake LS1 what the benefits are what the differences are on the street I just want to represent a true blue LS1 gritty Trans Am WS6 I don't want to swap out for an lq4 or lq9 or an LS3 I want to really surprised some people with a stout Stout LS1 and would like some input on what parts maybe I should put into it what parts I should consider things of that nature I'm very new to this so go easy on you guys I'm no expert

just make sure you get it set up right, had a buddy with a 383 ls1 in a 3rd gen get beat by a fender vs my buddys ls2 swapped 4th gen with pretty much a cam only. Just don't think you can throw a set of heads and cam on it and think it'll be awesome. So many people think its all good to do so.

Thanks for the reply buddy I'm just wondering if I made the right cam choice I already purchased the cam it Ed Curtis grind street sweeper HT 228 / 232 111 LSA. I guess my real question is what do you guys think would be the best head choice to go with I like the price of Texas Speed stage 2.5 heads but the more I look into it looks like the AFR 205 or 210 preferably Mamo. This will be a 383 stroker. Is the Streetsweeper HT enough cam? In all reality what heads would you get for it? $ really not a factor.

Tick has some nice cams as well. Im about to do one of their cams. Cant go wrong with AFR mamo head. Something i have really considered is getting a set of prc as cast 225cc heads they make more power than the heads you are mentioning and aren't really even ported, if you wanted to and money wasn't an issue is to send those 225cc to AI and make some crazy power, thats just how i think tho. it would be pricey but would be on nasty car.

273 gears .
I looked up the VIN number and match the codes and it says that it has a 273 gear ratio in 6th Gear at 70 miles an hour the RPMs are at 1100 so I don't know what gear ratio it has but VIN number says 273 from the factory. I'm all about wanting to learn how to build the right combo I know for sure just any heads cam won't work I have already purchased the cam I'm wanting to actually find a set of heads that will match my setup I have LS7 lifters on going fast 102 intake Nick Williams 102 throttle body I know usually do cam last to custom grind to match the rest of your setup but like I said I've already purchased the camp so I'm looking to get the best set of heads to utilize that Cam and the 383 cubic inch displacement

bigger cubes
Oh believe me I dream of having a 454 LSX in that bad boy but something about The Prestige of keep the original LS1 in it and putting the power to the ground they can surprise GT500, cobras and stomp WRX. and be able to say it's a naturally-aspirated LS1

tsp 225
Do you guys really think that the tsp as cast 225 purchased from Texas Speed and then sent off to Advanced induction and then ported and Polished would end up being better for that combo? 383 Stroker with the HT Street Streetsweeper cam then say AFR 205 Mamofied I'm not sure here so educate me. What about trick flow Specialties 21st?

street sweeper HT cam
Nobody's made a comment on the cam yet I was just wondering what your guys opinions are on the street sweeper HT cam from Ed Curtis will it work? And can someone come in on the heads I have considered the PRC 225 as casts but I'm not sure if it's the best head for 383 Stroker with the street sweeper HT cam and a fast 102 intake also thinking about switching from MagnaFlow Cat-Back to single spintech muffler

I dont think that cam is the best for a 383ci. Currently i have a well thought out combo that works perfect but is on the mild side. Im changing it up to be more aggressive. Im doing my 383ci block with prc 225's and a custom 240/248 .615/.615 114+3 lsa. The 102/102 combo will be perfect for your block, however sell that cam. Get a set of heads and then a custom grind cam to match. It wont be cheap but you wont regret it. Is your car an a4 or m6? What is your budget?
