LR4, 2004 Chevy trk-Regular Key?
Found out my key does not have a chip in it (standard) since my motor, Trans, Computor w/harness came from same donor truck, Shouldn't have to much trouble putting it in a street rod, correct? I know I have to purchase a gas pedal, and a lot of my other sensors Seems like I can plug them etc. Any other information or advice would be great, thx!

welcome. U still need to have vats removed for it to run. Lt1Swap.com is where good wiring info will help out. U can do it yourself. Get pedal & tac box from same year truck as need to match. Show us or tell what project is.

4L80E came on 6.0 so I'm sure you have 4L60E. If its been rebuilt it more than likely been upgraded inside. Normal use be fine, its when the power level going thru it then it wont last.

yes it can be converted to cable throttle. Both have worked fine for years. If he decides to ad cruise into it the DBW is easier to do. I have 2 swaps with one DBW and other cable. I think the DBW little more responsive.

Are you talking about tac box for gas pedal? On my 88 squarebody chevy truck I left the pcm on top of left front wheel. I made my own bracket to hold pcm and a 95-05 chevy cavalier under hood fuse box. It has a lid cover and more than enough circuits. I did rearrange wires to have 1 row live power and other row key hot run/ cranking. On my skylark I did move the pcm in behind dash. Lot of work to do it using truck harness. Shorten & lengthening wires. I cut soldered/ heat shrinked mine. Tac box in car as well. Does look better but my truck isn't to inpress anybody so went easier way. Best if have engine in truck and plug wiring onto motor/ tranny then figure it out. Undo all let it unravel and go from engine to the pcm will help keep it cleaner looking. Buy new plastic spaghetti tubing put over wiring.
