Help! 04 silverado starting issues

Default Help! 04 silverado starting issues
Got an 04 silverado when you try to start it the relay under the hood just clicks no starter sound at all. DISCLAIMER i do have the transfer case out at the moment.
If i cross the starter with the key on it spins free not engaging the flexplate. Any help appreciated. Thanks guys

sounds like the starter drive on armature is bad.

Even with just that relay click and no starter spin? It only spins when i cross it on the starter itself

well did u try another relay? Try neutral safety by try start in neutral rather than drive?
