I can't say what is going on with GMMG right now because I haven't been over there in a while, but I do know that Ron and Mike from GMMG are running their own shop right now called Vengeance Racing. I suggest giving them a call, and they can get you squared away with your exhaust needs.

I am sure they will be more than happy to get you on the road.

If you are just wanting a similar exhaust to the GMMG, Stainless Works offer a nice chambered setup, very similar. There's also a thread in the external engine forum about a new 4" variant using Stainless Works Powerpack mufflers. It's from a sponsor and has a comparison to the GMMG.

The loudmouth sounds like crap after you put headers/ory on the car, way to raspy. The tips also look kind of cheap, its a good budget exhaust, but if this guy is looking for GMMG I think he would want something with better quality than LM.

I dunno,.....I like mine and ive heard it with LTs and ory and it sounds good to me. Egh,.personal preferance i guess. I actually like the way it looks. It doesn't call alot of attention visually.

I think that's a mis-guided and totally inaccurate appraisal.

My understanding is even the GMMG will sound like *** without cats. I'm doing LT's soon and plan on a catted Y pipe so my GMMG will still sound good.

Then explain to me why 90% of people that get longtubes after their loudmouth switch out the resonator to a bullet?

Well you said it had crapp tips and was budget. And that the LM is low quality.

Personally I think the quality of it is top notch. Perfect fit and finish and very high quality. I've seen exhaust costing twice as much but are no where near as good.

Also I happen to like the tips, but even so I can't see how they are cheap. The oval ones on a GMMG are horrid.

So good grade stianless steel, mandrel bends, good welds and extremely well assembled. Doesn't sound like a budget exhuast to me.

As for the sound, well I guess it's personal. With CATS I've never heard one actually being raspy. Mine isn't and I've got probably 30+ vids of LS1's with LM's and only one sounds a little bit raspy. If you are going catless then maybe an alternative muffler would work better, but then again many people say that exact same thing about the GMMG.

Now personally I actually like the GMMG, but IMO the LM offers 90% the same for a lot less money.

GMMG sounds badass with or without cats. Guys in my club have both setups. Both have Pacesetter headders, one with a catted Y and the other without. Without cats is WAY loud but still sounds sweet. Catted Y is a bit quiter but still sounds sweet. I don't know what they sound like from inside the car though, only outside.
