URGENT- are these compression figures ok I am trying to work out if an engine is likely to be ok. I haven't seen it (what with me being in the UK and the engine being in Cleveland).
So, compression gives a reading of 180-185 on all 8- this is on a vehicle with 38,000 miles. Oil pres is 55 cold and 40 hot- vacuum is 20 inches.
Now vacuum and oil pres both sound fine to me but i have no idea about compression- are these figures ok? low? bad for mileage? etc etc
i really want to buy this engine in the next few minutes but really need some feedback from you learned people!
