Default Big Debate!!! Lol This Is Fun Join In!

ok so im goin to look at this guys 2002 "WS6" but he seemed unsure of himself...
what are some ways to tell if its a true WS6 besides the exterior
i know so far the hood and spoiler are indicators along with the LS6 intake manifold.
any other ways what about the vin or the slips from the factory...

Look in the drivers side doorjam and look at the RPO codes ( ALOT OF 3 digit codes) If it says WS6 your good to go if its not their then its a fake, or you could copy the vin down and carfax it or somethin not sure if that would be on their or if theirs other sites but the WS6 RPO code is a def. YEA for a WS6

Yea, they got it too...the only difference between a WS6 and normal Trans am is a hood, some badges, a little bit of suspension, and a slightly taller airbox

They're not?

Lol, J/k yeah, I beat that horse a while back, seems they make about 5-8whp more from 3-5K rpm in 3rd and 4th gear. If someone wants it, I have the MAF tables along with dyno charts that were crossreferenced to arrive at those numbers. A 97 WS.6 LT1 was used for the test.

Look for WS6 on the doorjamb, or get the VIN and get a dealer to run it for you and tell you all the equipment in it.

that does not apply to the OP's desire. LT1 airboxes are sealed to the hood, LS1 airboxes are not.

I noticed that, but the scoops are smaller. I wish someone would do a test on an LS1 WS.6 You are right, it is kinda inconclusive so far

who cares...in a race b/t a regular TA and the all-mighty WS6, a single bolt-on is all you need to give the race to either car

Lol, how about you put your money where your mouth is? You obviously have no clue about these or any other car. Here's another tip, WS6 spoilers are the exact same as the models they were upgraded from.

Yeah LS1 Lifeguard, you really need to read up a lot on these cars before making comments like that. It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're stupid, than to open your mouth and prove it.

Pacesetters are gonna give you the same performance as almost any other longtube. So he was actually pretty smart in getting them, cuz he saved money on a great part. His car pulls effing hard too...you'd be lucky to have one that performs the same.

fantastic fellas but i dislike pacesetters because i dont like what everyone else has. Their cheap = you get what you pay for
im goin with kooks cuz on every f body and vette they've been on they turn up the heat. sorry not looking for a bargin but quality
also trans am and firebirds dont have the same spoiler as the WS6 look close

PS
you cant beat someone with more money than you.
GOOD LUCK!

Default It seems people think that I think the Formula spoiler and TA are the same! Weird.

There is ZERO difference between a base TA and a WS6 TA spoiler, same goes for the base Formula and WS6 Formula. You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about there. Pacesetters are a very good design and however you slice it $400 isn't cheap, however Kooks are slightly better, your not going to gain much measurable power between the 2. I doubt I have more money than you either, I just go to school and work full time.

The Formula has the base Firebird spoiler, not the taller TA spoiler. But yes the base TA & WS6 have the same taller spoiler.

Pacesetter headers are awesome quality, there is no reason to go with kooks over pacesetter, go ahead and spend the extra money to be different, we'll spend the saved $$$ on more goodies.
