Ok ok, but come on... what about the weird ashtray light? I gotta know if someone else has this, or it's only my car.

Wow I was almost going to sell my car because I couldn't stand the cup holder in the center making it hard to shift with a supersized drink. Now that you have pointed out the secret cup holder I'm holding on to this baby now.

if you're serious about this statement, i don't know what's sadder, the fact you didn't notice the cupholder or the fact that you were actually considering selling your car over a cupholder this is the best thread since "do torques make sounds?"

A friend of mine had an '85 IROC for a while, and always bitched because no Camaro can have a cupholder that's decent. So the first time I gave him a ride I swung the little thing out and he was speechless. I love that little thing...

I might have you all beat. I bought my Formula (my first f-body) back in October and just discovered 3 days ago that it has a cold air intake kit. It occured to me that I hadn't checked the condition of the air filter yet, so I'm looking at the intake and scratching my head going "where is the filter?" No screws or hinges or anything. So I release the clamp on the MAF and pull the thing out and there, down inside the front bumper, is a K&N air filter. I had almost ORDERED ONE for $200. I'm sure I would have noticed sooner, but the big plastic piece doesn't say K&N on it, or anything else for that matter. Not sure where it came from. Only downside: the filter is dirty as hell and needs to be cleaned, which means jacking up the car and removing that splash guard underneath. Not a pleasant task in 18 degree weather and light snow. I need a garage. Not only that, but the filter was just jammed onto the elbow, no clamp holding it on or anything. Glad I looked. There were actually I few tiny bits of crud on the MAF screen.

Oh, and the covert ops cup holder: I had seen it in some f-body I looked at years ago, but I had forgotten all about it when I got this one until my passenger flipped it out one day. Join the club.

FYI: my car also has the secret removable glass panels, and it actually has an LT1 engine in that hidden compartment under the hood.

When I bought my car, one of the first mods I was going to do was a Hurst billet plus shifter, as I had one in my old 5.0 and loved it. As soon as we drove down and picked up the car in NC, I had a WS6 store short stick with me and installed it right there. To my surprise, the previous owner had already installed a Hurst billet plus! I was psyched. Saved me $180!

Thanks to you guys once again now I know that the glass roof is removable also. But you will never guess what else I found. I will share this secret with my fellow fbody fans. Those glass roof thingies will actually fit in the rear of the car and lock into place so they don't rattle around. Yup you heard it right. There are holders for the roof things right there in the back. I'm so excited about all the new things I'm finding that I'm going back to the garage now to see what else GM hid on us.

No ****???? I mean, really?????????????

Damn, GM thought of EVERYTHING!!!! That's great, cause I was worried about what might happen if I had to leave the glass panels at home and it started raining. This is great news!! Next thing you know, you're gonna tell me that GM actually made some sort of shade to cover the glass when it's sunny outside. Man, too bad nobody ever thought of something like that...right????
