How to weigh car?
What is the best way to get my car weighed? I see a lot of people with their car's weight. I know you can get the base number and add or subtract stuff you have or don't have but that isn't too accurate.

What you have to do is take the car apart bit by bit, that way each component is small enough to fit on a regular set of scales.
Do some simple maths and tada!!! You have your vehicles weight, and a pile o bits.....
Either that or try a weigh bridge. Sure there's one near by. Lorries/trucks, farmers all use them. Plus some strips have them as well.

You could stop by a set of scales on the highway. They might weigh you if they're in a good mood.
Alternately, there are scales at dairys, some nurseries that sell rock/dirt/wood mulch, and shipping companies. You can call first, but if you show up they may say yes more easily.

The larger moving companies have scales and will sometimes weigh your car for $5 to $10 or so. The local United Van Lines agent here in Ann Arbor has done that for me in the past.
One thing to keep in mind is that gasoline weighs about 6 lbs per gallon so the difference between a full tank and an empty tank can swing your total vehicle weight by 100 lbs or so.

At my old job i used to wiegh full size trucks(like f/s purolator delivery trucks and larger Vans). We went to a scale near an industrial area which has drive thru scale. The scale was the length of a 52' trailer, but i used to weigh the vehicle 3 times, by puttin the frt 2 tires on, the full body and then just the rear, each time I would get out of the vehicle. FRT + RR = total weight. It was good and seemed fairly accurate. Theres gotta be one around you tho.....

Nah, just rent a fork lift and one of those heavy duty spring scales. If your cars a t-top car, then just put the hook on the t-top bar, lift it with the fork lift, and there you go, instant vehicle weight.
... Or you could just do what everyone else says and go use a truck stop scale, but wheres the fun in that.
