Default Which is a better 500HP motor?

Which one do you think is the best overall built motor!
From what Ive read BMWs V10 seems like the best built motor even though its kinda low on torque.

Im going to say BMWs V10 is the most "efficient"

What are we talking about here, wich motor is built better? Power wise MPG? Liter to Hp ratio?

Easy way to solve that problem, don't click submit til your done writing.

Every motor has its up and downs. But I would say the Dodge 8.3L V10 would be your best bet for reliability, cost, and power. Those engines can be sprayed into the upper 800rwhp completely stock. Add fuel and I believe some have gotten 1000rwhp (viper forums).

LS7.
Not only is it the physically smallest of the group, its also the lightest:
LS7: 440lbs w/ accessries
BMW V10: 530lbs
Viper V10: over 550lbs (if I remember right).

Screw all that crap! HCI LS1 !!!!

(sorry, I work with what I have )

Seriously though, the Viper's 8.3 can all but run on midgrade and has STOOPID tq. The LS7 is the best bet stock, if you plan mods, the big SRT takes the cake. I have never seen a 1700rwhp TT LSX that was street driven.

BMW? It's a BMW...you don't mod those, you wax them.

The Viper V10.

The LS7 is basically at its top so far, like a paradigm of the LS1/2. You can't really mod the engine anymore (yeah yeah cam FI whatever).

The V10 in the Viper has a LONGGGGGgggg way to go before it hits it top potential. I mean somewhere in the 2000 hp range before it can't be built to take more.

LS7, much more common design, tried and tested, any modern mechanic can work on it, lighter...I'm suprised no one mentioned fuel economy yet, that has to count for something.

Or are we just talking pure power? I guess the Viper V10 is tops then.

I think we are all definately talking more power.

In the end though if we are talking about sticking it into a car than the LS7 wins hands down.

No way that you could stick a V10 into as many cars as the LS7.

Who gives a **** about the Euro crap .
