Default Whats up with Supras these days.

If you mod a f-body, vette, cobra etc , it does not boost the value much at all. If you put mods on a supra, it boosts the value. how does that work?? How did they get to be so expensive too? A 150,000 93 supra all scratched with a worn interior is still pullin 24 grand with some basic mods done to it. I saw a real nice one the other day and it sparked my interest, till I saw how much they cost. Would rather buy a brand new vette for 40G than a mint supra for that price range.

Anyone got some info on this? Are there only like 100 supras made each year they were produced?

they got expensive because of that stupid movie, the slow and the curious. they didn't sell that well when they first came out too,
the fact is they are really well made, over engineered cars. and unfortantly for my case people noticed that

supras will always be infamous, they are awesome cars that represent an era

In before the LOCK

Supra's cost a fortune compared to a Camaro.

Supra
Base
$31,078
Sport Roof
$35,648
Turbo
$40,508

Camaro
V6
$16,625
V6 Convt
$20,470
Z28
$22,125
Z28 Convt
$27,450

Corvette
Base $37,995
Convt $44,425

Camaro's hold value like aged plain yogurt compared to a vehicle with a base price starting at $31k (with no additional options over base which is limited and no targa with is $4k).

Plus a Supra is like the original Shelby Cobra to the import crowd.

The reason why supras hold value is simple economics suply and demand, they only made around 2-3 thousand of them per year if that, so after a while their hard to find so thats why they hold thier value so well, I mean new they cost around the same as a vette but a lot more vettes were made

Unless we're discussing LSX-powered Supras, this can't live here.
