DEAL or NO DEAL? went and drove this '00 TA today, everything felt good. New brakes, new tires, freshly painted front bumper. It also has a borla catback exhaust. got the guy down to 9200 out the door.
guys, let me know if i should go back there tomorrow with the cash or hold out.

not bad, but i think you can get him down more than that... on the site he's asking $8925 youve so i figure hes going down to about $8500 +ttl I would hold out a little and see if you can get him lower, but if not It still looks like a pretty good deal

yeah, i mean i used all the tricks in the book, tellin him id give him 8 today etc but he came back with all the "lemme talk to my boss" bs. i guess this car blue books at like 13 at a dealership and around 10-11 private party.... idk though maybe if i roll back down there with like 8500 cash tomorrow he might change his mind.

as far as the TA emblem, i hadnt thought of that, but i carfaxed it and it came up completely clean. of course that doesnt mean it couldnt have been in an accident, but i figure a clean carfax couldnt be a bad sign. That door also seemed to line up real straight all around... i'll be sure to take a real close look though if i go back up there.

Why was the front bumper repainted? What else might have been repaired?

Thats pretty fair price Clean retail in NADA is $12,650
I bought my Camaro 2 years ago for 9750 +tax w/ 50k so 9200 out the door
now for that car isn't bad. I didn't regret paying what i did for my car.

Why is there tape all over the Tail light?Cracked? My hunch with paint work/missing emblem/damaged tail light.. The car was whacked. Also That exhaust looks like hooker not borla(at least the tips) just my .02

I agree, not Borla tips.
Both door panels are cracked.
Passenger side door emblem is missing. (Tells me it was probably repainted.)
Taillight is broken. Looks like crap with tape all over it!
Complain about the rear inside panels not fitting up where they're suppose to by the door openings also. (Typical rear side panel problem.)
It appears to me that the passenger front fender has been pushed out by someone who lifted it wrong also.
The panel for the traction control? appears to be twisted also?
The air lid looks like crap with the decal peeled off.
Shall I continue?!?

bumper was repainted due to paint chipping from rocks and ****. that light had been fixed yesterday when i went to drive it (must have been fixed since those pictures were taken)
I called the guy about the emblem and he said his best guess was they took it off when they repainted the bumper (blended the paint into the door piece so it didnt look like really dark bumper paint to a bit lighter on the door). He said he would call the paint shop and see if they have it. This of course could be bullshit but it could be possible.
the traction control panel is busted but they got the replacement part in today and assured me it would be put together right before i came back down.
as far as the air lid looking like **** it was covered up by a K&N sticker when i went to look at it because they put a K&N filter in it. Cheesy fix but it works.
I'll be sure to raise hell about him claiming it had a borla exhaust.
anything else boys?

ohhh by the way when i went to drive it the tips were different from these pics. they were just one large exhaust tip on eeach side. is there a way i can telll if its really a borla?
