Default v6 Z28???

Alrighty, so my buddy and I have to settle a bet. My friend seems to think there IS such thing as a 1998 Z28 Camaro with a factory V6, and I keep informing him he is wrong. So, for the sake of me being right, and $10 richer as well, could you please confirm that there is, in fact, NO SUCH THING, as a Z28 Camaro with a factory v6?

Your right, your buddys an idiot, Z28=LS1 simply put, I think you could still get a base camaro with a LS1, but you cant get a base Z28 with a V6, Now Im sure theirs some loosers who put Z28 badges on a V6 but thats not factory.... so yea your 10 bux richer

There's no such thing as a 1998 Z28 with V6 unless someone removed the V8 and put the V6 in on their own. More than likely they would've bought a V6 and then swapped the badging and wheels to clone a Z28.

No, there is no such thing as a Z28 that came with a 3.8L V6 from the factory. Hell, I don't think you will find a Z28 with a V6 swapped into it. If someone did that, it wouldn't make much sense to me... Time to give your friend a good slap on the back of his head.

No such thing as a base Camaro w/ a LS1 either.

LS1s only came in Z28, SS, Formula and Transam. Anything else is a V6

a b4c is more or less an SS that looks like a v6, body color roof and mirrors, and no badges. it has the oil cooler and **** like the SS package is supposed to have though. i wouldnt call it a base model with an ls1 though, more like a z28/ss that is dressed down than anything else...

A B4C is a Z28 w/o the badges and has a fixed roof, B4C is not a base model. There is nothing special about a B4C, it is just a badge-less z28.

Give your friend one of these

Then take his $10.

Z28 = V8 ONLY.

Obviously he is not much of a Camaro enthusiast....

haha nice try, but they really dont have true duel exhaust on them. I actually remember seeing alot on here, and Z28 is just an RPO code for the 67 camaros I think and it was a VERY popular option, so in 68 GM made it the badge on the car with that RPO code, just like LS1 doesnt stand for anything, its just a RPO code meaning a v8
