I have one and don't mind it at all. I think it looks pretty cool too.

If I had a car w/o t-tops then I don't mind having roll bars.

Personal preference to a point. But if you have a 9 or 10 or even 11 second street machine then it's probably a good idea. Especially if you go to the track you need it. For me I wouldn't want roll bars in my DD. I think it takes away from the street car feel.

If you just want to get them because they "look cool" then...I feel sorry for you. Get them for safety, get them to be NHRA legal...don't get them to "look cool".

I would think it would give it that racecar feel. Then people would think its cool cause it would have a roll bar in it. I don’t think you should get it unless you need it at the track. I think its cool if the car is fast but if your stock that’s just

Well to do the actual install I think the whole interior has to be removed. Then once it's in the backseat is pretty much worthless so I pulled mine out to help undo some of the weight of the 6 point.

That's not the reason why I got it. I'm just pointing out how it doesn't ruin the interior or make it look like it's not a street car any more.

I was thinking about getting one so i could stiffen up the frame as well as for the safety factor. My SFCs probably weight almost as much. Theres no local track within a 3 hour drive, so my car sees nothing but street. The car is already mildly gutted out so I dont mind losing that street feel. Its not a daily driver anymore, so I dont mind losing a little comfort. The only drawback is having people think you have a faster car than you really do. That could bite you in the *** one day.

I currently only have one caged car. I must be getting old, as sometimes I view climbing over the door bar as a hassle. I only caged it when it became necessary (ie. too quick to pass tech without it)

However, it does have a certain intimidation factor. When you pull in at a street meet and people see it...

Luckily my car can back it up.

I mean even if you dont go to the track and mess around on the street if your car is that fast I would get one. 5-700 is a little price to pay if it can save your life

Unless you need it for safety or rulebook reasons, I don't recomend it on a DD. Here's some good info : http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26300

anyone have any pictures of their set ups? Would like to know for myself, dont plan on it anytime soon, but my Z is street/strip car and would still like to run it when it goes fast enough at the track.
