Default How much have you spent on modifications?

After realizing it was going to cost LOTS of money on modifying my WS6 the way I wanted it ... well, I retreated. Just to ask, how much money have you all spent on modifications on your LSX car including labor, and over how long of a period of time?! C'mon don't be shy! Make me feel better!

All the different setups since I've bought the car...probably between $5-6K in all...and that's doing all my own work.

It's a money pit...but, I wouldn't have it any other way!

$340 so far spent on a sway bar, SFC's, LCA, and PHB's. The SLP LT's, Y, and borla was on the car when I bought it, along with the SLP flow pac. Then next thing I'm going to buy is a new torque arm, then I'll probably leave it alone for awhile.

$7000 all in. That includes $2000 for the stereo (tires and rims were expensive too). BUT... That does not include the Procharger (and supporting mods) I just ordered, so add another $7500.

Well, I have some stock 2007 Corvette heads, 243 castings, fully assembled with less than 100 miles on them. A like new LS6 intake, 7.400 chromoly pushrods, weld-in tubular subframes, and tubular LCA's that WERE going to go on my SS along with LT's, cam, oil pump, lifters, blah blah blah. That is, until I picked up my '93 LX Coupe two weeks ago. So I am selling all of my LS1 crap and modding the coupe to high heaven. Much cheaper and this car is a cream puff, it will be done right.

I do not even want to think about this...
$15k or so is a safe bet so far.
tranny build alone just cost me $3100 or so.

and heads, intake, tb, labor, etc. is gonna be another $4k easy.

I spent a little over $2,000 on mods and did the work myself, and than I paid $450 for the 4.10s on my Z/28. I lost all of that in the wreck and could not get the guys insurance to pay for ANYTHING !

I bought my SS with the mods on it allready, because I did not want to start over (I couldn't afford it!). I've only done about $175 so far (tint)

I don't really keep track anymore. but I would estimate over $26k over 3 years most all the labor was done by me.

Forged internals shortblock
heads
cams
misc, pumps, gaskets, coolers, switches etc.
trailer
12bolt
transmission
wheels,tires
apperance, spoiler
seats
steering wheel
suspension
Tuning program
Laptop
and a bunch of other stuff I am sure I left out
