Default Found an 01 Z28 w/ 60k is it worth 14k?

I found this car for sale its an M6 with black leather and its NBM looks really clean and it only has 60k miles on it. Should I finance the 14k for it? Im trying to start my credit and they said that they do have a 1st time buyers program so hopefully they will let me have it. Im only 19 and im trying to get my credit started for my future career and i keep getting turned down for credit cards so i figured why not buy another Fbody .
What ya'll think is it worth the money?
The bank should call me in the next hour or so to let me know whether or not i can get it so everyone wish me luck and say a prayer or something LOL.

only pic they had of it

I bought a 99 z28 a year and a half ago with 72k miles for 8500, but i got a good deal. You can prolly find a better deal out there, but depending on the condition/mods, it might be worth it

If you are going to finance you can do better than that. If you drive that car 15,000 a year you will have over 100k on it and maybe several years to go on financing. Depends how long you finance. Things tend to go wrong (not always but a good chance) after that 100k gets reached and you don't need repair bills on top of payments. The car will become a pain and you won't enjoy it like you should. I've seen too many people in that boat. Payments and repairs equals an unhappy owner. When financing get the best car (with low babied miles) that you possibly can. You have to think down the road. Good luck with your future ride, whether it be this one or another.

I will sell you mine for $12k.

The same miles + you'll get mods!

PS: I can't finance it for you though

I sure wouldn't consider it steal, or even the going rate. For a nice car with 60k, I'd look to pay $10k, MAYBE 11. I got mine for a good deal though, 47k miles for $9000. Honestly, I'd keep looking. Tough time to be looking now though, being "spring", but good luck!

Its at a carmax in kansas city. They told me yesterday, if i wanted it in my name only w/o a cosigner they will have to have $4200 down . If i can get some time i could come up with it bc im trying to sale the LT1 and ive got a buyer so if maybe all goes well i might be able to pull it off. Im not gunna go with a cosigner bc i want it to just be me so that away its all for my credit .

Im gunna keep on searching bc i might find one cheaper.

You should have someone Co-sign...its not gonna make your credit any better with you on it by yourself. Regardless if someone co-signs its still on your credit report...and thats what matters....IMO i htink thats a bit steep as far as price goes...keep looking, and just because your gonna finance dont think you have to settle for a dealership...you can get an autoloan for a private party. Keep looking and see whats out there..also shop for loans too!

Hmmm well ive seen a couple of private owned ones that i would LOVE to have but i dunno how i would go about doing that . Sorry guys bare with me here bc all ive ever done is paid cash or did some trading for all my stuff.

Would the bank send someone out to appraise the car so they can see what they will loan on it or what? Im not really for sure how i could do that with a private owner so im sorry for the ignorance. LOL i can mod a car but i just dont know how to buy one

You can do what I did. I went to my bank and got a loan. They'll only give you a vehicle loan on a car thats newer than 6 years old so 00 and down are out of the picture. I bought mine from an individual and still got a loan so I'm still building credit. Granted I had to get a cosigner but I'm listed as the primary and I'm the only one that pays on it but it's still building my credit. You may get lucky and end up not having to get a cosigner, it all depends on the bank and their policies.
