Default Think it would be possible to make these?

So I'm swapping a 5.3 into my 68 Chevelle. I picked up a set of Vette fuel rail covers, and I would like to make them look like the picture attached... Originally my idea was to just fill the CORVETTE letters, and attach some Chevelle emblems to either side, and paint over everything.

A guy at work who is big into fiberglass working, suggest that I get the letters cut out by the local water jet guy, and make a fiberglass resain "mold"... Make a little tray full of resain, Spray the letters with a non stick substance, and press them into the resain, let sit untill semi-hard. Then he suggested attaching the "molds" to the fuel rail covers, and shaping them to the curve of the covers...

Sounds like a Good idea, but do you guys think it would work? Anyone out there have fiberglass experience that might know the answer?

I would rather suggest filling in the letters with a plastic filler and then finding a place with a cnc having them cut the letters right into the piece. Much easier

I would think the plastic filler would shrink, and crack out from the constant heat from the engine compartment?

I could just type out what I wanted to say, and have the water jet guy cut the letters out of like 1/8" plastic or something then just glue them on... I really wanted them recessed like the corvette letters were, but I guess it would be pretty hard.

the fact is that the plastic isnt that thick and if you look at the corvette letters youll see on the back side there pressed out
