Default Which one do i choose?

Hey guys i had a thread about inssurances about a week ago cuz i was getting some crazy prices. Anyways after doing some homework, i was able to get more reasonable prices. The best price that i got was:

2900$ CDN = 2500$ US for full coverage, 2 000 000$ liability, collision (500$dec ) and comprehensive (250$ dec)

1200$ CDN = 1000$ US for only 2 000 000$ liability, comprehensive (250$ dec)

Now keep in mind, this car will only be driven for 6 months and stored for 6 months, so i will get credited back around 33%. Which one of the two would you get for a 97 WS6 worth about 8000$? There would only be around 3200 miles put on it a year.

thx

Get full coverage, but have a higher deductable. Also if you are keeping the car in your garage during the winter let your insurance comapany know as you can drop insurance on it as your homeowners insurance will cover it. Thats what I did and saved quite a but of money when I was younger.

yo man i own this forum jk jk, well they did say they would credit me for winter storage, almost 1000$, so thats not bad. Doesn't collision come in handy when YOU HIT someone and cause total damage to your car?? In the summer, how hard is it to not crash into someone........with that car...

I keep full coverage on all my cars, when they are being driven. If you only have liability, then you get nothing if the accident was your fault. I'd still like to get some cash to fix/replace my car even if the law decides that I was in the wrong.

personally, for me, i didnt want full coverage for a number of reasons. one was because i am a college student and cant afford much, secondly, because my car is a salvaged title car and i only paid 5500 for it. But for you, if you paid over 9k and your car has under 100k miles, you should probably get full coverage.

I would get full coverage on it, I was involved in an accident with my previous car and wouldn't have gotten any money for it had I had liability. They found me 60% at fault, 60% how gay is that, anyway it was a base model hard top cloth seats 2000 Camaro V6 with 120,000 mi on it and I ended up getting almost 8.5k for it ha ha, well I paid the 1500 I had left on the loan for it and spent the rest on my current car a 99 Z28 with 62k on it and my car payments are about the same as I was paying on the v6, crazy and best part is I bought the v6 car two years and 40k miles earlier for 1001 dollars less + tax/title/license than the ins. comp. gave me. Definatly get it you just never know plus you can throw storage insurance on it during the winter. Don't expect the dumb luck I ran into though

Well thats the problem a lot of people tell me that, and a lot of people say just play it safe. My thing is, in this province, if someone hits you, its their fault, and with liability and comprehensive, they cover you...its only if YOU hit them, and your car is screwed, that it doesnt cover.... so i dont know.

Yep. That's how it works usually, and yes things do happen. I would just personally rather roll those die than to pay a gob load of extra cash that i don't necessarily have to spend.

Not as ghey as an accident I had decades (yes, DECADES) ago which was deemed to be 51% my fault.
