Default Value of the 02 "LE"

Is it just me or has the value of the 02 "LE" dropped like a rock, last year these cars were high 20's and low 30's, this year things look bleek. AOL voted this car as one of the top 10 most collectables. My low mile 6spd SLP loaded SS is for sale for around 23k. I rememeber buying my 1970 chevelle (454 4spd) in 1981 when you could not give these cars away. My car appraised for $48,000 this year. Hope the camaro will do the same some day...

I guess people have realized that paint stripes and different wheels dosen't really justify an extra $10-15K on top of the price of a regular Z28 or SS. I'm sorry I never understood why a car that in all aspects except cosmetic is identical to a regular SS or even a Z28 fetches such an absurd premium. Its not a GMMG or other tuner edition car with greater performance potential (sorry the air lid and exhaust doesn't count), so why should it cost so much more?

Just alot of hype I guess making them more valuable then the Z or SS. AOL for what it's worth did choose the "LE". I'm sure someone will appreciate it. Glad my chevelle is worth 30 times more what I paid for it in 1981 (1600.00).

Hm well I honestly wouldn't pay any extra for an LE over a regular SS. It just happens that I bought an LE, used, and for a great deal that didn't end up costing me anymore than a similar mile/condition SS. But there are people who would pay extra money for it, not me.

IMO, the LE isn't even really rare. 1/3369 isn't rare. 3000 is alot of cars. Shiet Hugger SS are more rare than my "LE". There are probably less SOM SS's too.
