Default got pulled over for having my foglights on lol

I was driving through this small town on my way home from work when my radar started going off...there were about 5 cars coming(one of which was a local cop) my direction..and I was doing the speed limit. A few seconds later I see flashing lights in my mirror and I pull over to the side to let it pass....but he pulls me over instead..as he walks up to my window I say "Hi, how are you doing?" and then notice that he is wearing a brown t-shirt that says police on it and wranglers.(rofl)
"purtty gooood, do you hava license and insurance?" he answers/asks. I hand it to him and then just sit there(trying not to ) He doesn't say anything for a bit and then he says "I pulled you over because your foglights are on...OHP would be writing you a ticket right now but I'm going to let you go...just keep them off"
I say "oh I didn't know you couldn't have them on"
and then he tells me about some bs law and tells me to have a good night......I've been driving with my fogs on for a year and a half...and never been pulled over for it or had it mentioned while I was pulled over...

Wranglers were tight, when sitting down in his car it made them even tighter, causing him to lose blood flow thus resulting in a decline in his ability to think clear hence why you were pulled over for having fog lights on

He just wanted to pull you over to check you out and that was an excuse to use. Out here everyone, especially SUV's and trucks, keep theirs on all the time. But the law does say that you are supposed to follow the same rules as for running your brights. Turn them off when you come up behind someone, etc. Nobody does. But if a cop wants to pull you over, it's a valid reason.

Fog lights are safty hardware and can be run off or on regardless who you are behind. Brightlights are a different story while behind or approaching someone as that can cause an accident. Dont worry, i got a redicoulus ticket when my dad got pulled over. we were out in the middle of no where and my dad got clocked at 71 in a 55 and i was a little behind him and he pulled him over. I was lost so i pulled over a little up the road, he wrote me a ticket for a 71 in a 55 even though i was not even going that speed..We will see how that goes.

Not sure if that was sarcastic or not seeing that there is no way to judge tone of voice or expression, but if you are serious then you need to watch Super Troopers my friend. Come back and let me know what you think

I just used that little white fluffy excuse for a smilie simply b/c I have never seen anyone use it. So I will be the first.

License and registration.......CHICKEN ******!

haha, i love that movie.

But yeah, that was the most BS stop ive ever heard off. If a cop pulled me over for that, and was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, i would have called is department and got his *** in trouble just for wasting my time.

Just an excuse to pull you over and see if there are any more serious enfractions. There are thousands of little tiny laws that even stock cars break that you get pulled over for. Then the cop can see if you've been drinking, stolen, no insurance, or any other more serious enfractions. Cops like to do that around here with seatbelts, they come up and ask for license and reg then say well it looked like your seatbelt was off.
