T-Tops
Just thinking about the cars we drive ( F-Bodies predominantly on this site) and the fact that most of us have t-tops. T-tops are pretty unique, how many other cars have t-tops besides f-bodies. i don't think their's to many especially in the sport car market. for whatever reason i thought this may bring up an interesting discussion.

#1 reason I bought my car.
In my eyes it was a t-top f-body, a targa vette, targa Supra, or another t-top GN. Those are the only cars I considered as a pleasure vehicle. I like open air under the summer sun. Don't like drop tops because they look like crap, are easy to break into, and get vandalized a lot. They also seem junky when the top is up.
Nice Supra's targa's are impossible to find anymore. I still want to kill my ex GF for selling hers and not telling me she was going to.
Most GN's are high maintenance.
Almost got a vette but am happy I didn't.

I wouldn't mind having a open top car to cruise with. I like my Hardtop Z28 cause that is not too common with the F-bodies, but the older Corvettes and most of the newer F-bodies are some of the few cars that do sport the T-tops.
Depends on what your intentions are IMO.. I am making a car to Drag and Handle, the Hardtops are a little stiffer.

T-tops were more common on various cars in the '70s & '80s than they were in the last decade.
On the GM side of things, t-tops have been offered on on G-bodies, F-bodies, Y-bodies, and probably others that I can't even recall at the moment.

I love having T-Tops. I really on take them off early in the morning, and then not again until after 3 or 4 pm. I love having an open top, but still have something hard over my head.
My wife loves the car, but she bitches something about having the tops off cause it ***** up her hair. Ijust tell her to bring a hat, cause she knows that I am taking the tops off once it starts to kewl down and not get sun burn on my head.....LOL
