Should I come back?? So..I left F-Body land and got rid of my 94 Z28 and bought a 00 SVT Lightning. I still love the truck, and thinks its pretty impressive for its weight etc..BUT...I find myself lusting for an LS1 M6 SS or WS6...my brother has a 99 WS6 so I get to play with one, but I still want my own..so I sway back and forth...and furthermore I tell myself that if I wait it out, I can have the Lightning pushed to one side of the garage, and get the new Camaro when they come along...Hmmm should I leave well enough alone in the interest of getting the new Camaro...or give in now for that instant gratification.

depends whether you'd rather have another 4th gen. or a new Camaro. if they're supposed to be in production 2009, then you only have a little over a year to wait for it.

I have abig soft spot for the 4th gens...but I also know if I get one...when the new Camaros arrive I will want one of them anyway. Maybe I am better off having a fast truck, and a fast car.

get a camaro for now since that's what you want, you can always buy another lightning if you miss it, but what you want (and I totally agree with you) is an m6 ls1 fbody
and if you get bored just trade it in for the 09 when it comes out...lol

Here is the kicker...and try not to be biased....here is the breakdown of the 00 SVT Lightning.. 4966 units.. 928 white ones.(mine is)..and out of all 4966 mine was build number 5. That is low...low enough that I will probably never find a lightning again with such a low build number. Might not mean jack right now....but down the road it probably will. That is the main thing holding me back...I hate to let go of such a keeper.
