3.23s...Keep em?..
Ok..My car is a 3.23 car. I had a 94 A4 with 2.73s and went 4.10s, so I know I wont 4.10 this car. 3.73s if anything...but I love the 3.23s highway manner...is it stupid to stall a 3.23 car and leave them? Will I never be fast with the 3.23s or can I play them out and actually be pretty quick?..

I love my 3.23s too and i stall them next time. Ok my stall is only 2600 but for me is it enough because i use it most on the street and only sometimes on a 1/4 mile race. So it depends what you will do. If you go more to the dragstrip stall it higher and you will be fine and you will be also fine on the Highway with the mpg and high speeds. In my opinion is the 3.23 the best compromise from acccerlation/Topspeed/mpg for an allround A4 car

Exactly. You will gain virtually nothing going 3.23 to 3.42. That would be a dumb move unless it was 100% free.
I say keep the 3.23s and do a stall. No need for more gear for a street car. I'm a big fan of stock gears plus a stall. That way, after lock-up, you still have nice low cruising rpm.
Even on my 2.73 car, I would do a stall without gears if I was using this as a street/strip car.
