Default The big debate, help me out!

So on Monday of this week, my 94 FD may be sold. I absolutely love the FD. For a 13 year old car, it ALWAYS gets looks, it's a rare car and the performance of them can be amazing however, sometimes the attention it gets are from bad people (recently just keyed ) and I just need a more practical car (able to lug around 4 people, better trunk space, etc)

If my car does get sold, I have deeply been considering a GTO. I'm sure most of you guys agree the GTO isn't an attention getter, BUT they do build on you as it has really built on me.

The FD and GTO are two totally different cars, the FD being light and nimble with good power, the GTO being a heavier and more powerful car.

My question is, if I were to pickup an 05 GTO (I don't know if I'll have the budget to pickup an 05) what mods would I have to do in order to keep up with most cars on the road? My FD had the stock twins but everything else done to it. Probably close to 300rwhp in a 2850lbs car.

Plans for the GTO would be:

1. NICE sound. I want the GTO to sound like the beast it is, cams? headers? exhaust etc? Not only will it sound extremely loud, but it will also help in the performance.

2. Exterior is simple, tint, springs, wheels, possibly a body kit? Ideally, I would love to have the car look like this minus the stripes.

I'm also contemplating saving some money and taking a look at a WS6. I love the looks of the WS6 and still has the LS1 power plant. I am also open for any other suggestions for the next car.

Sorry, an FD is a RX-7. We call them FD's because there are 3 generations of RX-7's and the chassis name for the 93-96 generation is FD3s

Here is a pic of my car

Oh yeah. Well those are real nice cars but even less practical than an F-bod. GTO would be a big difference. It looks good. Would be hard for me to get rid of it if it were my car.

id keep the rx-7 and get a cheap daily driver, those cars are real rare and yours looks real good. i daily drive a 1990 oldsmobile, it gets me too and fro comfortably and makes me appreciate the f-bod even more on the weekends.

At this time in my life, it's best for me to sell the FD. I will buy another one once I graduate from college and fix it up again. For the mean time, like I said, I just need something practical

Dude if I was you I would not sell the RX. If you do you will be kicking your self in the butt for a long time.

i can't believe your willing to sell the FD! or trade in for that matter bc honestly i don't think you would get at all whatever you have put into it. these car's are very rare. my friend owns a silver 94 FD sequintial TT Rx-7 and has too much money to sell and get what he has into it. i'd keep that baby til the end! there has to be something else you can do!

Man, listen to all the other guys here. DO NOT sell your FD, get a real cheap daily driver and call it a day.
