Default LT1 vs. LS1

is it really worth holding out for an LS1? or should I buy a cheaper camaro with an LT1?

So far I've found a 98 camaro LS1 (54,000 miles for $7,000) and a 94 camaro LT1 (115,000 miles for $4,400)

any info is great

I'm a newb

I guess I didn't remember correctly, but the ls1 has 82,000 miles on it. I don't think there have been any mods to it. Do you think this is fair?

there is a big difference between the ls1 and the lt1. i would definitely say the ls1. it takes a lot less to make fast.

Nah I don't think theres a problem. Any car can be made fast, hell the only reason I got an LT1 is because I can't afford an LS1 yet (Im in High School). I know most people get LT1s to start out with and then upgrade to an LS1 a few years later, that's what im hoping to do..

"ummm LS1, kind of like saying should i get the honda or the F-Body"
- Yea, its nothing like that but nice try at being an ***.

hey if i wanted to be an *** i would have said LT1 dick, nice try at trying. i said F-Body in general to try and not to single out you defensive high school children.

oh and by the way, NO not every car can be made fast. whens the last time you have seen a Ford Festiva hitting 9s 10s at a drag strip? without a full on engine swap

So because I'm in high school and own an LT1, you try to get a low blow on LT1 owners in general? I might be in high school, but you're the immature one here. You said comparing an Lt1 to an Ls1 is like comparing a Honda to an F-body, theres only one way you can read that - an LT1 is like a honda compared to an LS1. If you meant something else, you might want to try wording your sentences better.

I've seen Geos run 9s and videos of Dodge Caravans running 10s, engine swap or not. You don't have to run 9s and 10s to be considered "fast", or else the majority of "sports" car owners are slow.

Funny how its usually the lt1 guys that start something, in this case its you who decided to throw a jab. Grow up.

once again, i was NOT low balling the LT1s read VERY carefully "comparing an Lt1 to an Ls1 is like comparing a Honda to an F-body" no where did i mention LT1 so in general you think "oh" i've got an LT1 i better stick up and say something because obviosly he means LT1s just because he posted it... wrong again, i said it because it's a plain comparison and simplifies it greatly, or i can rephrase it for you and say "it's like comparing a Cobalt SS to an LS1" is that better for you? something with a little more ***** to it? look bud don't get you're panties in a bunch because you went with the LT1.... BTW i got my LS1 when i was a junior in highschool and i payed for it myself so you got no one to blame but you're self. don't get mad at me for telling him the way to go
