What is it about the T-Top cars that make them weigh more than a hardtop? Are the glass panels alot heavier than the fixed roof?

usually the hard top "strippers" don't have leather..or the pw,pl...ect....thats how you save the weight.

My 99 Z28 M6 Y3F with T-tops, leather, headers (which are lighter), and no spare or jack weighs 3480, IIRC. Search not working at all for me at the moment.

Power windows, ive read on here, weigh less. Don't know if that's true or not.

Power windows definitely weigh about 10lbs more per side. Those things are wicked heavy.. I just did the swap a few weekends ago.
