Default ls2 in 2002 trans am

ok i got a guy wanting to trade me either my ls1 or a regular 350 for a ls2 outa gto i was wondering if i should trade and how to tell if it is a ls2 outa gto and not out of a truck and if it would fit in my car

Why get an LS2?
Build the LS1 or go with a better engine than the LS2.
Do you plan on building the LS2?

it will say ls2 near the water pump on the front of the block

Default markings

it WILL NOT say "ls2" on the front of the block by the water pump / IT WILL have a "6.0 L" cast into the block / weather its steel or aluminum
( but a steel block would be from a truck, yes )

well i can get this motor cheap and was wondering if it would be a good power upgrade
