Default Dash part name?

OK I give up on finding something I dont even know what the real name of it is. The part I'm looking for is the panel that goes in front of the dash up to the base of the windshield. I need that panel and have looked on ebay for it but dont know what its name is. What is it and do you know where I can find one for a 97-02 Camaro (the 97 LT1 anniversary cars had the new dash) I'm in Michigan.

Thanks, Tom

It's just called the 'dash top panel'. You could still get them from GM in the "Dark Gray" color of the '97-'99 interiors as late as last spring. Not sure if it's still available though. Try a local GM dealer.

its also called the dash pad. check ebay, you can find them for cheaper on there. i had to get one for my 96 camaro on there because my dash cracked and it was a fairly good deal.

eBay

I priced them before as my old Formula needed one, they were usually $130-$150 but shipping is usually pretty high as well ($30+) due to the size

Default its a "crash pad"

Check out "TransAmcreations" in South Florida. I was last told 200$. I have a 94 TA that needs it, but my new 02 TA needs a new Ram Air hood.....

Cool, I'm thinking I need other parts worse than I need that. I sure wish I had'nt busted up the cracked one I had thinking I had a couple spares, but they were LT1 parts.

They are expensive from the dealer, I'd look around for a used one if you can, they are like $150 from SDPC, had to get one for my Formula.
