how to peel out
i wanna know how to spin the tires on my t/a,. i cant get it right. ive tried dumping the clutch at 3k rpm, but the car just jerks then goes foward (do i have to add more gas as i dump the clutch?). ive also tried letting the clutch out fast at 3k (but not dumping), but i get a hard launch with no wheel spin.

I want to laugh but I am having some burnout trouble of my own. If you want to peel out just go a few miles an hour in first gear and floor it. My car is stock and will rip the tires loose all the way through second.
My problem is heating the tires up to race, my old formula was auto. I tried dumping the clutch and jumping my foot to the brake but the car just bucked and stalled.
HOW DO I HEAT UP MY TIRES WITHOUT A LINELOCK?

Your kidding right? Tach up to about 4500 then just yank your left foot off the pedal or sidestep the clutch completely, then watch the miles melt off your tires.

Burning the tires from a standstill is easy. clutch in... right foot full throttle... then let the clutch out as fast as you can or even let let your foot slip off the edge.
Heating them up at the track is a different story. You have to practice starting the burnout by giving gas and brake at the same time with the right foot.. then after you let the clutch out switch to left foot brake. At least that is how I used to do it. Its much better and easier to get a line lock on an M6 car though. Just watch that you are spinning the tires... an not the clutch.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_Cef2p2B4k

Just to add to my own post... don't let it bounce off the rev limiter. Foot to the floor and let the clutch out quickly before it get to redline and bounces of the limiter. Then feather the throttle to keep it off the rev limiter. bouncing off the limiter is not nice for the valvetrain in the engine.

you don't want to stand on the brakes with your full weight, you only want to press them in just hard enough to keep the car from rolling. if you stand on the brakes, it's just putting more clamping force on your rotors, keeping them from spinning at all, hence, no burnout.

OMG that was funny, i could smell that clutch sitting infront of my computer. You shouldn't have any trouble spinning this time of year with the roads as cold as they are. Put 10-15 more psi in the tires and hang on for dear life and traction.

If I can do it in a V6.. You should have enough power to do it in a V8..
Rev it up, Launch hard, Then when the tires are spinning, Hold down on the brake and keep your foot on the gas. That will lock your car into place and keep the tires spinning. Try it a few times in a empty parking lot.
