Just picked up my new G8, red and nasty Hey, Just wanted to let you guys and gals know, I just picked up my new G8. Pretty neat car. Drives great and its gonna run really good. Don't expect to purchase one of these cheap. I had my choice of 3 cars and didn't get a dime off the sticker. I picked the red one, there was also a white one and magnetic gray, they may not be exactly correct on the gray one. The white really looked good to, these cars really remind me of a beeeemer. But faster. The only gripe I have is in the manual mode, from 1st to second its not to possitive on the shift point, from 2nd to 3rd is fine. All the cars I drove did the same thing. I hope they come out with a fix for that. In the automatic mode its fine. Its seems like the article I read when the ran it against the charger, it did the same thing. I hope its just a computer fix. Mine was one of the first 888 sold. The ls3 is a pretty awsome engine. I can't wait til I get my ls2 truck in my 95 gmc.

I love em! Great choice bro!! I will be picking my GXP up as soon as they arrive! Yeah, come on, you can't tease with a "just got my G8" thread and have no pics.....If we do not have them tomorrow there will be problems....f

He guys cut him some slack. He is a newbie, I am sure there was a time when you all did not have the god like knowledge of the lsx as you do now. Lets help him out and teach him. Anyways bro, your car has the L76 motor and not the Ls3. The ls3 will come in the GXP model. Your L76 is nothing to laugh at though so dont worry. It is tuned for 87 octane right now. Get a good performance tune for 93 and you will see some nice gains. Also you have the L76 heads which are based of the great LS3/L92 head just made to fit the smaller bore.The L76 intake manifold also flows very well. With a few mods and a tune you will have no trouble keeping up with the ls3's. Nice car, enjoy it...

I think i'm going to call some dealers to see if they have any G8's in yet. I just looked at a black one on ebay and it's pretty sweet

Wow can't wait to see pics. Are they only 4 doors? Also has anyone else gone to Pontiac.com and look at the G8 with the Ignition Orange Metallic paint. So nice!
