Default oil filter #

just wanted to know what the ACDelco filter # for a 98 LS1. the pages were tore out at pep boys for the cross reference. so i took a wild stab and got a PF46.

46 will do, a lot of us run the longer truck filter. Helps you hold a 1/2 quart more and a little more piece of mind for a larger filter surface.

yeah PF46 is fine.. i actually use the PF44 i think it was. but they didnt have any so i went with the PF46.

I know the short it 46, I forget the long AC, 44 sounds right. I also remember my very first car was a 3.6 camaro and it used the pf47. I use mobil one and its either M101 or M107. I have a horrible memory for those and have to look them up every time.

The Pf61 is the longer version of the Pf46 (it has the same threads and it WILL work on an LS1)

I use a Fram.. Good or bad i dunno but it works. PH3506.

Correct PF61 is the "long" oil filter, Mobil 1's part # for long filter is M1-206. I used a mobil 1 oil filter this weekend for my oil change.
