Default hi there, 427 bock whats it worth?

Hey everyone, first post. Sites awsome just found it. Anyways not sure if this is the right area but have a question. I bought an old house with old shop next door.
the shop has a bunch of engine block with atleast 4 of them being chevy big blocks. I got the numbers off of one of them 3916321 I learned its a 68 427 385-435 horsepower. Not sure what a bare block is worth.
Any ideas? I will get the other block numbers soon and let you all know

thanks everyone

The only way it would be worth enough to speak about is if someone needed that particular number on the block for a numbers matching build. Other than that I would say a couple hundred is safe.

Look up the suffix code thats stamped on the front of the block. What it came out of greatly determines it's value.
I sold a 1968 396 bare block on ebay for $1000. I was in florida at the time and shipped it to california.
The guy that bought it had the exact car the engine came out of going by the suffix code, and the cars build date was the same month and year as this blocks build date.

Ebay it and let the market decide. Ive sold 60's bbc aluminum heads for more than I ever thought they would go for, even repaired. Like said above, someone may be looking for that # and date code for their corvette project.
