Default Guess my times agian!

Well i had a thread up for people to guess my times at the 1/4.

I ran consistant 12.6 and 114/115. 2.1/2.2 60' on street tires, and a broken torque arm, and a messed up tune, full weight including trash and all.

I think im going back in a week, or two if i cant get off work next friday, this time i will be running 12" Goodyear slick. It is off a circle track car, but i got them for $20 and the will be a hell of alot better than the street tires. Also the Torque arm will be fixed, the tune will be fixed, and stripped of seats, stereo/misc. What do you guys think i will run with that setup?

you should be able to get into the 11s w/o a problem as long as your circle track tires stick!!!

well, i went from 12.9's to 12.30 when i improved from 2.0's and 2.1 60's to a 1.71 60 in the same day. i would guess you would gain a bit more than that since you are fixing some stuff and getting a good tune. I guess 11.8 sec.

MY 60's were horrible. 2.2, 2.1 I was lauching off idel, and waiting about 2 seconds before putting it to the floor, and still spun pretty good. I will be running slicks. They are about 11.5-12" in width. Some people out there were running the same, or lower traps and netting 11.4's

Im just hoping to see 11's. It i do than im sure a shot of some nitrous will be coming soon to try to get that bitch in the 10's.

This is the off topic, and stupid ? but do you guys think with some slicks, and my power i can pull some wheelies?

I'd say you would need to be in the 10s to get some air....I only base this on what I have seen at the track. I can't recall seeing any 11 second cars pulling the front wheels. I am sure someone has, but I have not.

Plenty of 11 second cars pull the front wheels. I've done it on drag radials with my M6 (and heavy chrome ZR1s up front). I've even seen some 12 second cars pull the fronts.

Thanks for reminding us, i already stated the problems in my first post, and made this thread stating that the problems would be fixed. But thanks agian im sure some people forgot by the time they got to your post.

Why the hell do people only read the title, and then ignorently post without reading anything that has been descussed?

i read your first post and saw your torque arm is broke and you have shitty tires. why take your car to the track when its fucked up anyway? I was stating that those are not your only problems. with 428 rwhp you should be in the 120mph range. i dont think the busted TA is causing it to lose that much power transfer.

And a F*ed up tune that is causing xx?? seconds/tenths in loss? THE IDEA IS THAT THEY WILL BE FIXED.

I'll start from the begining for you.

Hey guys i took my car to the track with a bad tune, brokin TA, and street tires. I ran a best of 12.6 @115 with a 2.1 60'

I will be fixing the TA, Putting slicks on, and the tune fixed. How much faster do you guys think it will run when these are fixed?

*A hint of advise*

Good answer examples

12.0 @ 117 1.7 60'
11.7 @ 115 1.8 60'

Bad answer examples
"your car is messed up it should be faster"
"something is broke"

You could duct tape the TA, spray Elmer's glue all over the tires for traction, and install a 10-key calculator in your car for a good tune. You'll gain a decent 27 rwhp with just the duct tape (lighter than welding...). It should run a low 10.
