bad valves, inside of the compressor. is it blowing warm air? an Ac compressor is kinda like an engine, its got valves inside but all car compressors are hermeticly sealed so you cant change them out. sometimes if the compressor is compressing liquid instead of vapor it will click a few times before the liquid boils off

Sorry man. To bad you don`t live here in Wisconsin, i don`t even use my AC except for when the defrost is running on cool nights. And if you don`t use your AC maybe think about just getting a new serpentine belt to bypass it for you don`t even have to worry about it.

AC has it's own belt--just take it off.
BTW double posts suck, you can see how the same post went in two entirely different directions depending on which forum it was in.

if your compressor is working and blowing cold air the ticking could be faulty relay, or contactors is it coming from inside the cabin or engine bay?

If it is ticking from the inside the car, it is not the compressor.

I really don't see what can cause a ticking side inside the car.

Try to pin point where the noise is coming from.

I hear the same thing like under the dash when the AC is on. It blows cold air. When I increase the fan speed, the ticking does, too.

Read your other post! same damn question.

If the ticking is inside the car, take the blower assembly out, it's located right above the passenger foot area above the plastic shield there. Clean the blower wheel and put your hand or a small vacuum cleaner hose through where the blower was and get all the leaves etc out of the box.
I just did this on one of my cars, it sucked a gas receipt into the blower and was ticking.

How do you get to it? Take out the glovebox?

No, look under the the glove box by the hinge, you'll see two plastic push pins on each side, take them out and remove the plastic shield. Then to the right you will see the blower motor, there are about five 7mm screws that hold the assembly in. It comes out pretty easy.

Thats exatcly what it sounds like, that something is stuck in the blower.

I couldnt find the push pis but is it the black shield box looking thing that has two screws holding it?
