Great stock power, responds very well to mods, and is superior compared to newer v8s.

God got bored on the 8th day and decided to build a pushrod engine. This engine, was codenamed the LS1.

300rwhp stock and gets 20-25mpg too. some people even are getting 25-30mpg WITH MODS

Yeah think about this: My buddies 5.9 liter pushrod mopar (1997 Ram) put 198hp to the wheels. We have less displacement and put down 100 more hp to the wheels, stock for stock.

I get around 25-27 on the highway, all ive got is cam, tune, cats been tuned out, and some other minor stuff

this all on a 6sp

the ls1 is so good, because i ****** said so.

but seriously, stock it puts down alot of power and accepts mods easily with big results
