Default Exhaust rattle

Okay, my exhaust is rattling. It has been doing it since I got the Pacesetter headers/ORY setup, but getting worse. The Y used to bang the floorboard under acceleration, now it's just a steady loud metallic rattle at idle. From what I hear, the Pacesetter Y is notorious for this. My friend who installed it will fix it for me, but although he has the same setup, I don't think he's ever encountered the problem. What's the easiest fix? Poly motor mounts? Or can we simply heat the pipe up and bend it away from the floorboards?

Use a rubber mallet and tap next to the o2 sensor with the car off, does it rattle? If so pull the o2 and tap it again, rattle gone or still there??

Also is the y still banging the floor under hard accelleration? There is a hanger you can get or you can try the poly mounts.

I will check soon when I get a chance. Think the O2 might be rattling?

I had the exact same problem. Went to lowe's, got some small hot water heater hose, put it in between where the y pipe was banging and secured it with a worm clamp. No more banging or rattling.

Yes they can I have hooker LTs, pacesetter ORY and a LM. After I installed it all I had a rattler when my car was around 1500+ rpms. I took out the passanger side o2 and replaced with one of the ones I took out previously and the rattle went away. They have little shields on them that come loose.

My ORY doesnt hit so I guess im just lucky but that can be the problem as well you just gotta look into it a little more. Tapping around with a rubber mallet should identify the problem.
