Default engine sluggish, someone help me?

i piped my ws6 from the y-pipe to the axle and had it dump out before the axle and about a two weeks later my check engine light came on. i changed the oil a few days ago at 109,850 miles using royal purple 10w-30 and now ive got a bad ticking/knocking noise coming from the engine and the car is extremely sluggish after 3500 rpm in any gear. (0-60 takes almost 9 seconds now). anyone know what might have caused the knock and lack of performance? thanks

it may have caused your car to run leaner but i doubt that it would cause that bad of a knock... what is your check engine light coming on for. Check it and let us know.

did he say that it was the primary o2 or the secondary o2? Too rich can make it feel sluggish at times. Get the check engine light taken care of and see what happens then.

Just because the codes say its the O2 sensors doesn't mean they are bad. The sensors read your air/fuel ratio (front ones) and if your cats are doing their job (rear ones). The sensors can be fine and something else could be causing sluggishness. I had a similar experience, I bought two new O2 sensors right off the bat when they told me they were bad but it ended up being a restriction in my fuel lines. Fixed that and ran perfect with the old O2 sensors. I now have two extra ones. Lesson learned.

I'd say if you can get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge, check your fuel pressure and go from there.
