Breaklight problems

Breaklight problems On my gf's 97 RS, the breaklights function normally as long as the lights aren't on, but when the taillights are on, when you press the brakes they go off and no break lights except for the third break light which works like it should. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.
