Can I Remove The Top Of My Air Filter Box?

Default Can I Remove The Top Of My Air Filter Box?

Ok I Just Got A Ram Air Hood Its Open And Functional, The Guy At The Store Told Me To Remove The Top Of My Airbox To Let The Air In From The Hood. Should I Do This? Wont The Debris Getin The Air Sensor? Rain? Can Someone Help?

Don't listen to the random guy at the auto store who knows nothing about your car. Ever. You should always have a sealed filtered airbox unless the car only makes track passes five times a month and the engine is in pieces for the rest of the time.

NO! That retarded. When you shut your hood look at it, it lines up right infront of the airbox.

ok but i saw a airbox for sale and its just the same box without the lid? i dont get it

if i remember there was some hood that dident use the stock setup and had it open filter style

He is probably thinking of the LT1 SS/WS6 air box.

And its hard to read when you start every word in caps - you know that is not only more time consuming, but grammatically incorrect right?
