Default Tach Problem !!!!

ok well i installed an auto meter monster tach in my 96 trans am and the damn thing if off . I wired in into thewhite wire coming out of the C230 blue plug on the passenger side kick panel. Whenever i am at idle about 1000 on my dashboard tach , it shows about 2000 on my autometer, and the higher i rev it up or whatever the more it gets off, so if i rev it up to about 3000rpm it shows about 6000rpm on the autometer, and whenver i am driving and hit my shift point on my dashboard tach about 5200rpm it goes all the way up to 10,000 rpm on my autometer tach!!! :wtf: does anyone know what the deal is?

you know those wires that are cut?

put them back together.

then it will be on the correct mode for you car.

and not being a ***** at all but the user above is 100% right this problem is about as common as "my LSX has a tick"
