Default Wacky Turn Signals..

Just picked up my LS1 yesterday...bought it used from a dealer. here is my issue, the turn signals work ...kind of..when using right or lft turn signal it wont blink at a constant rate...its like there is a short someplace..the hazzards seem to work ok. but from the outside of the car the turn signals dont light up fully..again like a short or a lack of electrical power. when i hit the brakes they seem to stop working sometimes. I checked the fuse..looks fine...could it be a bad relay? bad turn signal lever? i dont want to get a ticket or have an accident at an intersection b/c cause of it.
Thanks for the help!!!

i havent checked the bulbs yet cause its been pouring rain and dont have a good place inside to work on it yet. ive had bad bulbs b4 in other cars but they havent acted like this. also not sure if its related but every time i hit my brakes my headlights dim quite bad but only for a second. I will check the bulbs tomorrow...its supposed to be nice out.

It just seems odd that the hazardswork fine and light up nice and bright like normal.

Sounds like the flasher relay. Just replaced mine last week. Quick, easy, $10, 5 minute fix.
