Default Problem Driving me nuts, need help ASAP

My car was throwing belts, stock tensioner wasn't doing anything so i bought and installed a Katech tensioner. Torqued everything down to specs and installed a new belt. When i started the car the belt squeaked but seemed to go away after the car warmed up. Today when i looked under the hood the belt is missing a rib and it seems like something is ripping it apart. The crank pulley seems like it may be wobbling a tiny bit at idle. I'll have pics in abit.

Any ideas?

is that the bolt in the crank pulley? What does it need to be torqued down to? Can a vibration at around 70mph be related to this?

Yes, if the balancer is "off balance" you will get a vibration. This can damage the internals permanantly. Get it checked, I wouldn't drive it. And it will tear up the belts quickly.

I don't know what that is by the throttle cable, I don't see that on my car.

Is that another cable alltogether? Maybe the cruise control cable.

yeah its a completely seperate cable, i have absolutely no clue what it is. If it's worth anything, my cruise control doesn't work lol.

Also, the vibration went away today when i put on my winter tires.

On picture #3, it looks like there is something touching the belt between the alternator and idler pulley. That would rip the belt off quick.

Could it be that simple?

Its probably the cruise control cable than.

If the balancer is wobbling thats probably whats tearing up the belt. Unless something is touching it somewhere.

Very bad if your balancer is wobbling. Hammering action on your crankshaft should be avoided.

it looks like something isnt lined up with the rest of the pulleys. see if something is offset from the rest of the pulleys...also, if it was for sure the crank shaft pulley then it would prolly also be tearing up your a/c belt....it has a seperate belt.....have you checked it or did you delete your a/c?
