This is from the service manual:
Headlights/Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Circuit Description Pontiac Domestic
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) module is designed to automatically operate the exterior lights depending on the outside light conditions. The ambient light sensor is replaced by a jumper.
The DRL module operates when the following occurs:
The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
The headlamps are OFF.
The park brake is OFF.
The DRL module applies voltage to the front turn signal bulbs. Whenever the left or the right turn input is received at the DRL module, the front turn signal bulbs operate normally. When the park lamps or the head lights are on, the DRL removes voltage from the front

It started when I had to switch the bulb in the front on the lft side the wire touched each other ( wire connected to the socket) and the flashers went off but I then changed the flashers under the dash board but the front still don't come on.

Well after the volts leave the turn/hazard switch it goes to the turn indicators ( do they work?) then to two dlr modules( left and right) If the indicators work then I would suspect the modules- if the indicators dont work I would suspect the turn/hazard switch.I've never had these out or even know where they are but am only going by the wiring diagram- the same thing I would do if I had this problem.

I have this exact same problem. Rear blinkers work fine and the fronts don't. They have brand new bulbs in them. Also, the daytime running lights that I just replace (front blinkers) only turn on when I have at least my fog lamps on, otherwise they don't at all. They used to come on when I started the car.
