Mine does about a drip every time I park it. Quite aggravating, wondering if I should just silicone it up...

How hard it is all depends on the person and if it is your DD. If you can afford the down time if you don't get it done in a weekend give it hell. If you do decide to do it make sure you torque everything!!! It's very easy to strip out aluminum and if you do it is going to be a bad day.

Well to get the oil pan off you will have to do quite a bit of work. Thats why it is so expensive.

You will need to drop the K-member a bit and un-bolt the motor mounts. Pull the engine upward while the K-member drops just enough so you can pull the oil pan off.

Then you have to drill out a few rivets and then just replace it with a new $40 gasket .

I would say a good 6hr job.
