Default Replaced U-joints, new noise.

I replaced the U-joints in my car, put to two new greaseable ones in there. Greased them up. Now at low speeds on deceleration I'm getting a low "wooooooo" noise. At higher speeds I don't hear anything. It's only really noticeable at low speeds during decel. Theres no vibration or anything, just a strange noise. Ideas?

Well the installation was fine. I'm guessing that means its a lack of grease?

yeah, too much or too little grease can cause the same problem in a bearing (heat) espeacially if it is sealed.

I'll pop some more grease on the U-joints and see how it goes from there.

Did you line the driveshaft up the same way it was taken out? Try rotating it 180* on the flange.

If it was out of balance it would vibrate, not make a noise.. correct?

edit: I also painted a mark on it so I would install it the same.

Well guys, I found the problem. A warped rotor. I put the back of the car up on jackstands and spun the wheels (car was in neutral). When I was under there I listened for the noise and looked for any obstructions. The only thing I noticed was that it was really easy to turn and then suddenly very hard to turn the driveshaft. I noticed the sound was from the rear passenger side wheel. So I got up and spun it by hand and it had the same problem. I took the wheel and caliper off to see if I could adjust anything. But that didn't work. So I bought new rotors, installed them and that seemed to do the trick.

Just putting it out there for anyone with the same issue.
