Default I think my one of my lifters collapsed

Recently I have noticed a tick in the valvetrain that wasn’t normal; it’s coming from the passenger side. The engine still has good oil pressure, and I have had other people listen and they seem to agree with my diagnosis. So my question is since I have to replace the lifters which ones do I go with; LS7 or Cadillac racing? Also what else should I replace while I’m in there? I was thinking replacing the pushrods, going to a cometics head gasket, ARP studs, aftermarket rocker arms (need advice on those), poly motor mounts ECT.....

Here are the specs on the engine setup: full bolt ons, TSP Tourquer2, PRC 2.5 LS6 heads with 2.04in/1.575ex valves, stock head gasket, TSP chromoly pushrods, stock lifters, and stock rocker arms.

I’ll go make a video in a min

Any advice welcome.

I have harland sharp 1.7's myself-lots of guys like yella terra-they're both pretty good rocker arms. not sure on lifters-i kept my stock ones an have had no problems-im sure one of the sponsors here can help you with that TSP, TR, etc etc. You could go to a thinner head gasket if you wanted to increase your CR but im not sure on the specs of your camshaft an what your PTV is so id ask someone in the internals section on that. see if you can get an engine stethoscope (theyre pretty cheap at any autoparts store) to see if you can really pinpoint the valvetrain noise-good luck man let us know how it turns out.

turns out it was just a header gasket leak, but when i listened to it with a stethascope it was louder on the pass. side. anyhow i have the replacement lifters for when they decide to go, it sucks but at the same time it has me worried about the lifters now. i guess ill find out as the time goes by.

This is ironic because i have the same noise coming from my engine, but yours is louder, when i bring the RPM's up and when they come down is when you really hear the tick. I plan on bringing my car to TTP this week to check it out. At least it was a cheap fix lol
