Default Ls1 to Ls2 Waterpump

My car has been overheating and i brought it to a shop, since the water pump has been leaking i should change it. They said they would change the waterpump to a ls2. My question is, would a GM OEM LS2 Waterpump fit on a 2000 Camaro Z28. Thank You

As far as I know, they are interchangeable, but do look a little different. The LS2 has a different pulley size.

yes, i have one on my car. the good news is that they bolt up perfect, the BAD news is the thermostat housing is diff, so i had to get a diff 160 therm. my new h2o pump came right from GM. they stopped making / selling the ls1 pumps about 2 or 3 yrs ago. i think i was the first to get the shaft.
