Default Autozone PCV valve...?

If I get a PCV valve from AZ for my TA will it be the updated design or is that a dealer only part?

What do you mean by "updated?" Are you talking about the fixed orifice design? (That's a totally different p/n and is really made for truck engines.)

Yep, just checked the part number for a late model truck and it fits fine.

for what its worth I personaly would not buy any auto parts from auto zone they are getting cheaper stuff and no name brands.

I had bad luck with thier junk
I want a rad cap and they tryed to sell me some knock off of the stant brand cap, it kinda look like stant but nope
also some cheap cork valve cover gasket.. wasn't any $$ cheaper just quality.
next a fuel pump that had a hose clamp on the out put line that the hose conected to and after I had it in for a week it stated doing the same thing as my old pump that had a pin hole leak so I took it out and after arguing for a while they finnaly gave me a refund, Napa had a delphi pump and the hose was molded fit llike the stock one and it beens in now for 5 months and no problem.
pretty much kraggen, auto zone are getting worse pep boys arn't much better..

just my .02

Are you aware that GM recommends not putting that PCV in our cars? (Unless you have a severe oil burning problem or some other special use.)

Based on what I've read it's acceptable for all LS engines.

Here's some really good reading on the topic that has a pretty balanced look at the two PCV designs:

www.mightyautoparts.com/pdf/articles/tt122.pdf

If you don't have an oil consumption problem and are just daily driving, the new design could limit the effectiveness of your PCV and cause you problems associated with poor crankcase ventilation.
