Default Checked out a 2000 z-28 today and.......

I found green coolant in the radiator. I was like wtf Should that stop me from buying this car? I know your not supposed to mix dexcool and green or it will could sludge up. Would this turn you off from buying the car?

If it looks ok get it. They might have flushed out dexcool and just added the green stuff lots of people do it for different reasons it wouldnt turn me away from buying the car.

^ I double that. . . . . Just look to c if the coolant looks clean and not chunky.

If it was flushed properly, it is fine.

If they flushed it and switched to green its fine.

I have green in mine, flushing out the dex-cool was one of the first things i did when i got my car.

Some people think the orange dex cool is bad for the car. You could always flush the green out and put the orange back in, not that big of a deal.

the issue with the dex-cool is that over time it develops and electrical charge twice that of normal coolant. Because of this charge it eats away at the aluminum components of an engine. In the case of the LT's and LS motors that's a significant amount of components.....I'd say don't let it turn you off, just look closely and make sure you don't see it getting all gooey and you should be good.

The newer Prestone antifreeze can be mixed with any other type of antifreeze. I always change out the dexcool with prestone.

I consider that a bonus and definitely not a problem
