Default ses light clutch switch?

so my ses light came on about a week ago and i figured it was just a 02 sensor but when i took it to autozone and had them pull the code it said it was a clutch switch error and said the car went from 0 to 24 and back to 0 without the clutch being engaged or something, im going to reset it because im guessing it is a 1 time mistake hopefully, any advice?

this is the exact codde and description
P0704 Clutch Switch Input Circuit Malfunction

I'm an auto guy myself but isn't there a switch/button that engages when you put the clutch pedal all the way to the floor so you can't start the car in gear? That switch might be going out. There is a manual transmision section on this board, ask the guys there what your code means.

i had the same code, ever since i did my drill mod i had pushed the clutch return switch out of adjustment so it would always think that the clutch was somehow pressed in but not all the way, and this affected my cruise control. there is two switches for the clutch pedal, one all the way down, that is for starting the car, and the other is where the clutch returns back to normal position that is for cruise control, that can be seen when the panal under there is removed. you have to adjust the switch forward enough to touch the plate when the pedel is in normal position. after fixing that mine has been ok since
